Leadership Navigator® for Executives

Vice Presidents have substantial influence over how a company performs. These executives use many of the same skills and abilities of the CEO, but their responsibilities differ. This assessment can be used for both self-guided development planning and feedback sessions with an executive coach. In addition, results may be easily integrated into standard executive performance reviews.

What it Measures

The Leadership Navigator for Executives provides for in-depth feedback on many aspects of a senior leader’s workplace behavior. Similar to the Senior Executive survey, two classes of competencies are covered: those related to managing and interacting with colleagues (Leading People) and skill areas related to typical initiatives and duties performed by senior leaders (Organizational Leadership).

Report & Development Planning

The Leadership Navigator for Executives report is comprised of four sections.

  • Overview - an overall comparison of competency scores for each source (Self, Boss, Peers, and Direct Reports).
  • Competency Breakout Pages - overall ratings from each rater group.
  • Strengths and Development Needs - the 10 highest-rated behaviors as well as the 10 lowest-rated behaviors.
  • Narrative Comments - verbatim comments on both strengths and development needs.

There are several options for ensuring that vice presidents process and utilize their feedback. A 3D Group Executive Coach may lead your vice presidents through the feedback in the report by explaining, interpreting, and prioritizing the results. In addition, 3D Group Coaches are available to facilitate feedback and action planning sessions involving direct reports and the CEO. Feedback and goal setting guidelines and workbooks are also available.
